Emily is a Clinical Psychologist who approaches therapy with compassion, curiosity and collaboration, supporting clients to navigate challenges, reduce psychological distress and move towards meaningful change in their lives. She has experience across private practice and public health, working with older adolescents and adults across a broad range of presentations and levels of complexity. Her particular areas of interest include neurodivergence (ADHD and autism), anxiety and mood difficulties, interpersonal and relationship concerns, self-identity, and adjustment difficulties.
Emily takes an integrative and person-centred approach to therapy, drawing primarily on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy. She uses these approaches to tailor therapy to each person’s needs, strengths and goals, addressing both current difficulties and deeper, longstanding patterns, including those shaped by early experiences.
Emily sees the therapeutic relationship as fundamental to therapy and works to create a genuinely collaborative space with clients. She helps clients better understand themselves and the patterns and experiences that shape how they think, feel and respond. Through this understanding, Emily aims to support clients in developing greater agency, resilience and self-compassion, with the broader goals of improving psychological wellbeing and helping clients feel more empowered in their lives.
