Belinda Favaloro

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Belinda is compassionate and understanding in her approach, and works collaboratively with people to help them cope with difficult situations. Belinda works to help the individual understand their experience, as well as empowering them to take the steps to overcome their challenges and achieve their goals.

Belinda’s clinical experience extends across a range of presenting conditions, including anxiety and stress, mood difficulties, work-related challenges, trauma and self-esteem issues. She works from a client-centred perspective, and uses a variety of treatment approaches to suit the needs of the individual, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR).

Belinda re-developed the Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) program for Wesley Mission Hospital, and she currently shares her time here helping individuals create a life worth living. Belinda has written research in substance use, and understands the complexity drugs and alcohol may add to life’s challenges.

Note: Belinda is a board-approved supervisor, registered with AHPRA and is available for supervision sessions. Please contact us for more information.
