Alex is skilled at helping people through life’s challenges, whether they be stress associated with an unforeseen change or feelings that have been around for a while. He works collaboratively with a personal yet professional style, and supports clients towards making robust and meaningful changes.
Well-versed in strategies for coping, Alex practices predominantly within a cognitive-behavioural and mindfulness framework (CBT), tailoring to the needs of his clientele. Other therapeutic approaches on offer are schema and dialectical behaviour therapies.
Alex completed Masters in Clinical Psychology with distinction, has authored research in anxiety and has presented on early intervention in psychosis. He currently shares his time with Mission Australia working with complex mental illness and is a current member of the advisory board for The Men’s Table, a charitable service for men needing support.
